A Bonsai Gift

For Mother's Day my son bought me a Bonsai Tree. I'm determined that this poor thing will not die. My computer bookmarks are full of information all about Bonsai. But I am worried.

My very first plant was a cactus which grew to enormous proportions before it exploded. I have, since that sad day in my early life, successfully grown one into it's flowering stage. Unfortunately again it died after its second winter.

My son must have noticed that I had bought three more cacti which have been planted together in a nice container. His gift must be a show of faith. So far his little Bonsai Tree has been fertilized and pruned twice. It's looking quite nice. Wish me luck. BTW I've enjoyed reading all the stories posted on this site. Thank you Doug.
