Marvelous!

You caught this caterpillar in a lovely environment!
The diagonal lines pull the viewer in, the eye sweeps the length of the little bug, and the leaf/branch on the left leads back to the caterpillar.
Nicely composed! Bravo! My 2 hands go up when Doug counts the votes! ;-)

What fun finding a beautiful caterpiller. I was watching one move around on the fennel yesterday. So fascinating the way they move their legs. And the way they eat their meals. Just chomp chomp chomp til the leaf or stem is gone. Have fun watching to see where he goes. LB

I didn't put hornworm on the anise swallowtail Caterpillar photo. I was as surprised as you when I saw the picture. The plant it is on is rue. I didn't know they fed on rue. I've had them on my parsley and on fennel, but this rue thing is new to me.

Great photo of the swallowtail caterpillar. Not sure why you have hornworm on the lower caption...it is a swallowtail and they are not the same.
Love the clarity, color and detail...great for identification...better tho if we know for sure what it is feeding on...looks like parsley?
