I created a privacy (green) wall by planting boughanvilla and plumbago. The plumbago climbs up the boughanvilla.
It's really colorful in the spring. Zone 9

Wyoming garden

I live out on the open plains of Wyoming and to make it here a plant HAS to be super hardy. I am a transplanted California gardener and this has been a very new experience for me. This garden is about 6 yrs old now. The second picture is only a year or so old. Our growing season is only about 5 months, so I try and coax as much growth as possible out of everything. Oops, could only load one picture

We started the garden from zero plant. My wife an d I love gardening and we get our two boys involved too.We have been working on it for three years. We planted a lot of different colors lantanas which brings a lots of butterflys. We have been adding more flowers and small plants and trees to the garden to creat a fuller look and more colors. Hurricane IKE did some damage to the garden which we are still working on it.I have some fruit trees which did o.k. this year. But I have high hopes for the fruit trees next year.

This is a work in progress but wanted you to see our latest passion. The fish are multipyling, the water lillies are thriving, even the plants overwintered in zone 4B in the pond (not deep just on the side) have returned!
