Old favorite!

I live in Zone 2 or 2b (west Calgary)and I've had my scabiosa for several years now and it is aboslutely a fave. It looks great with ornamental grasses too. Mine are planted 'mid garden' and they hang over and in with the border plants. lovely!

we grow alot of these in our garden. butterflies like them and yes, they last a lot longer than poppies.

Yes, this is a lovely shade of blue. A colour which is very difficult to preserve. I used to grow them, when I did a lot of "pressed flower work" and found, it was quiet good in keeping the colour.
