Marvelous Rare and Blue
by: Grace

Most plants labled as blue are bluish. Not this one-it's true blue. I got 2 or 3 from my daughter's yard this summer and it's very drought-tolerant. Here in north eastern Connecticut it did real well in spite of no rain during August or September and lots of hot sunshine. A real treasure. Great pic!

I never thought of growing chicory in my garden, don't know why not, I like the dainty blue flower. Its there something about coffee and chicory?

I just found what this "weed" was called this year thanks to Doug's newsletter. I'm with you though, it's a wildflower.

The flower is nicely highlighted by the fuzzy, contrasting background.

LAVANDER BLUE CHOICES
by: Ferne, Kamloops, B.C.

Hadn't thought of adding that. They're pretty, and my favourite garden colour, but I think I will have to pass on that idea...They grow too well here, Tina. A bit like adding dandelions. I'll stick to lavender and other sorts of tough stuff, me thinks. I'll just have to admire them from the vehicle as we zip by. Nice picture though.
