SUCCESSFUL CLEMATIS

Ahhh, Gwen....There are only three not-very-well-kept-secrets to growing these: Correct Exposure, correct exposure and correct exposure!....Put it in the wrong spot and you've got a dead plant, probably sooner rather than later!

So you have either taken that knowledge for granted or you got lucky... Head in the cool sun, feet in the shade and there is nothing more glorious. Even in the semi-desert of Kamloops, it works. Although I killed my very first baby one instantly, by leaving it in the package in mild afternoon sun for ONE day. Live and learn has to be a particularly good gardening motto.

P.S.
I am impatiently waiting for 3 more tiny ones to get to the flowering stage....at least another couple of years, I expect...room for at least six more gardening motto's about that.
