Dividing Perennial Flowers - Daylilies

Folks - this is pretty simple garden plant propagation- and a daylily is one of the best plants to start with because it's really one of the toughest plants in the perennial garden.

You can divide this perennial flower at almost any time of the year and with a bit of extra watering, it will regrow and survive.

This is NOT the rule for other perennials (you can do it with Iris too) as they prefer early spring or early fall.

But the overall technique is the same - dig and cut in half. :-)
