Echinacea Ruby Giant and Vintage Wine

Ruby Giant did not do well. Neither did Vintage Wine. Looks like they were eaten by insects and suffering from a blight. I was ready to toss them when I simply transplanted them to other locations. They're doing better, but the bugs still like their petals.

echinacea plants being eaten
by: Shirley

I have a tonic I used last year on my coneflowers. Something did a real number on all of my plants and I mixed this and sprayed everything several times during a 2 week period. It definitely slowed the damage and this year there is no damage (yet). My coneflowers have thrived, lots of sun, heat, moisture and I do not fertilize. I can't imagine what they would be like if I did.
I will look up my recipe for the solution and post on here tomorrow.
