edging?

I would like to see your flower bed after you make your shingle edging disappear because I don't find the result attractive in your last picture. It is a very interesting idea to start with but I am curious of how you are going to hide those shingles with mulch while not invading the lawn.

Doug says "him too". We'll see how this works, it's an idea/garden in progress and if it doesn't work or needs altering, it will be. But the main thing for me is to avoid having to do hand trimming along the raised beds. And to be able to roll my mower right along the beds without having to get off and do hand-work. When you're gardening on this scale, there are other considerations in the design.

So - bottom line. We'll see how it looks and modify/not modify based on performance and appearance.
