Hi. The reason the flower is so blue is because the land it is on is very acidic. If I bought a pink one and planted it here, the next year it would be blue. I wish I could grow pink. I tried this last year. I dug a big hole and put non acidic dirt in it hoping that the hydrangea would stay pink, the next year it sure did turn to blue. It's still beautiful. I guess I could live with this:)

i bought a box soil conditioner from the nursery to make soil acidy to turn mine blue, i put it around plant every few days, but no luck, does it take a couple years to get the blue????????
