Garden Benches in the Landscape Design

It doesn’t matter whether your landscape design calls for a garden bench or chairs, nor does it matter which style you prefer. What does matter is that you have them - get a place to sit in your garden.

The main point however is that if you don’t have a place to sit in your garden, the only time you’ll go there is to work.

Sit and enjoy the fruits of your gardening labors!

Entertain in your own style surrounded by the flowers you love to grow.

Benches can also fill the role of focal points in the garden - places to draw the eye to highlight the bench. They can also be disguised or take a secondary role to gorgeous flowers.

Garden Benches

I planned a small garden with my favorite flowers and some small trees. The first thing I put in was a simple bench so I could sit and mentally place all the plants. Then, when I planted, I rested on the bench when I got tired. I got so enthusiastic sitting there imagining what I could do, I put in a small, open gazebo on the other side of the yard. Now my small garden spreads the whole way across the yard, and I can sit in the gazebo on hot days and sit on the bench on cooler days, and look at all my plants. My daughter and her friends sit in the gazebo so they are away from the adults, and they aren't in front of the tv or computer. It's a great way to get friends and family into the garden, simply by supplying a nice place to sit.
