Garden Books and Reviews

I love garden books.  There, I've said it and exposed my serious weakness to the world; not caring who knows.  I have way too many of these wonderful things - including a decent collection of older books that I treasure.  I never count how many books I have because then I'd be bragging but let's just say that it's bigger than your average public library.

So what's this page about?

It gives you my unvarnished reviews of modern garden books that come across my desk.

My objective here is to tell you what I think about a book - good, bad or indifferent so you'll have a better sense of whether it's right for you.  I try to be as honest and objective as I can but hey, I'm an opinionated gardener (we all are after a few years). :-)
