Tomorrow We Fly!

Tomorrow We Fly!

It was fun watching these two morning dove youngsters grow up. Their nest was just outside of our landscape design office window. The parents would let us get very close before flying off and feigning a broken wing. The next week, these two were gone.

Brug 9/07

Brug 9/07

I overwintered this brugmansia for the first time, so this is the second summer for my plant. Although the intense heat of late July and early August seemed to do the plant in, now in mid-September it'is blooming for the second time ! The fragrance is a wonderful bonus.

The Beautiful Blue Poppy

The Beautiful Blue Poppy

This is a photo of my blue poppy in bloom, which took three years to really bloom. I purchased the plant at the Montreal Botanical garden weekend.

As you know, poppies are delicate and exotic, so to have this in my garden in zone 4a is a special treat.

Enjoy this

Lilies gone Wild!!

Lilies gone Wild!!

These are my "Lilies" in full bloom, I have battled deer, squirrels, and thankfully no lily bugs. I planted these Lilies in honor of my Dad, each year they bring me peace.

The scent takes me to a beautiful place in my mind that reminds me of my Dad.
Enjoy!

This is my grandson, we'll call MP. He and I planted the corn and beans this year, and he feels now all the beans are his. So when we are out in the yard working and it gets very quit and can not see him all we need do is look in the corn. Every time he is under there unwrapping, (as he calles it) the beans and munching away.

Spring Balsamin

Spring Balsamin

So pretty, tall, Japanese-like, eager to grow even in the wind, easy to move which I did, to make a little avenue, and you never know where they're going to pop up next year, because the seeds actually spring out of their pods.
