Gardeners Journal - Spring Flowering Cottage Garden

by Doug
(in his garden)

This is my spring flowering cottage garden area - at least one small part of it :-) And I'm going to show you some of the bulbs and perennials I have blooming along with a tip on how to stop your lungwort (pulmonaria) plant from getting powdery mildew/ botrytis and turning the leaves black.

I love my semi-shade garden area and this one fills up nicely - all the way from shade loving hosta right over to the sunnier sections and the big fat spring buds on Peony tennuifolia (the fern leaf peony)

I hope you enjoy this quick tour.

And by the way, really - don't worry about pruning that Pulmonaria to the ground. As long as you're feeding and watering it properly it will be quite fine and look a heck of a lot better.
