Greenthumb not required to join a Horticultural Society

Societes hold general meeting with great speakers on many subjects. Local garden centres and garden stores offer discounts to members. The other great thing is you have access to some of the best gardening advice.
It's amazing how much you learn just by listening and helping. Many of the societies also take care of public gardens within the community which make your town or village a nicer places to leave.
Many societies also have youth clubs what a great way of getting kids involved in such a great activity at a very reasonable cost. We are not a bunch of old ladies and it is not just about flowers. It starts from the ground up and we talk and learn about soil, vegetables, herbs and well being.
