Greeting Cards Go Organic and Useful

by Doug
(Somewhere out in Lake Ontario)

Here's an idea for those who think that greeting cards are kinda a waste of time and money. This probably doesn't include any of my female friends as they tend to be card-crazy - exchanging these things at the drop of a postage stamp.

For the rest of you.

I understand the average greeting card stays on the shelf for about a month and is then pitched to the garbage.

Why don't you try these cards. They let you plant them after you're finished admiring them and will sprout flower plants while they decompose.

Instead of filing landfills, fill your own garden with a flower garden from those admired bits of cardboard and verse.

And guys - if you're trying to score points, here's a way to do it twice. ;-)

And for my family and friends who love wrapping presents - check out the wrapping paper impregnated with seeds. Now you guys don't have to unwrap each present without tearing the paper ("It's too nice to rip Dad") - you can rip to your heart's content and still use the paper afterwards.
