memories.... by: Anonymous when I was a kid growing up in the suburbs of Grand Rapids Mi. we had a swamp near our house and every spring when the buttercups came out my friend and I picked tons of buttercups, enough for every lady on the street to have a vase full. One year my mom put hers in a big crock pot and set them bay window by the kitchen table. During dinner we heard something croaking which us kids loved but mom didn't care to have frogs in the house and out the door the buttercups went!
