It's almost Gardening time in Tennessee.!?!?

Ahhh, It's almost that time again. We have experienced a few 65 to 78 degree days. already. Last Tuesday we mowed for the first time. It's done nothing but rain since.

So between the rain and those 60's days, it has been so hard for me to go outside and just look at the flowerbeds.

Reason being is, I can see my Irises from the window and they are at least 12" high. My spiderwort is at least 9" high. And on and on...

You would think that's so cool, and I do, but it's 67 degrees currently and some very heavy storms are headed my way in about an hour, but thats not the least of my worries. I just looked at the weather for tomorrow and there is a frost warning for Tomorrow night!

I know, I know, I should realize, where I live but now it's gonna be triple indemnity when I do start work in the garden Good Friday.

First I will have to clean out the beds, then cut back all the dead stuff off the new foliage, and contend with the bugs at the same time...lol.

I'm just glad I have nerves of steel and a love of gardening.

And spring starts for me in 13 days. Anyway thats my story and I'm sticking to it....

Come frost or high water! And it all I can do to wait as patiently as I can.

Thank you for your story..it is refreshing to hear about other stories that are homespun and you are still workiing hard in it, rather then hiring someone to do it...You love gardening...and that is all it takes to grow beautiful plants. My moto is Hope! I hope to put out one...I hope it grows..and I hope I can enjoy it as much as ever...Thank you !
