Lime Disease in Canada

Can, and does create an deadly disease, in human's anyway, settling it's organisims, selectively in major physiological systems, and or specific organs of the infective human body.
Really, I thought I 'saw last summer', one of these little horrible critter's in our very own N.TO. lovely garden. I forgot to tell my spouse, mostly because I didn't identify it properly. And maybe I'm still 'off-base on this one', but I was preoccupied, with many other bug varieties, prompting eating up my entire garden, and spraying selectively for them.
Last night, an local TV program, 'our W-5', really brought this, 'lime disease concern', hence the bug interest, front and center. Begging ME to ask the question, could it happen here in Ontario. In urban centers, our parks and ravines, my yard...especially now when 'most pesticides are banned'.
Well, I rely on 'several great gardening', sites like this one', to keep me up to date, on important gardening matter's. But, frankly health, safety, in our 'natural environment', never was an issue, at least before, as in 'with me', us.
It is now! But, this effective, popular program is 'not prone to error', and be it an bit 'late', for some and our beloved 'institutional medical profession', is away behind the curve. In an state of denial, that 'lime disease evens exists here', but prevalent in many USofA, States, not only the adjacent N.T.State.
I've alway's been aware, tho separate to this, but on the same host---deer ticks, come across our border on both moose, and deer, now apparently on the backs of our infamous, 'Canada Geese'. I find that sort of amusing, that 'our biologists', nor our OFAH, at least to my awareness, do not advise 'us', interest, and hobby in 'the outdoors', educate us of this problem, or serious medical difficulty.
It's only an problem, if your 'bitten', by the little beetle/bug, but apparently many people are.
But, I guess, 'not enough people', are for our general medical practicioner's to recognize the, 'disease even exists'. Worse still, but it does, and expensively associated with this to, 'all parties, is 'most laboriously misdiagnosed'. Consequently, there are no speicalist's, or doctor's with significant experience with the disease, at least hereabouts, let alone 'an single clinic', ie: lime disease clinic.
This, even in spite, of the varying size of the 'red skin welt', on the infected person, other immediate symptoms, and unless at onset, or 'initially-weekly' diagnosed, and treated with mere effective/chosen anti-biotics, therapy, costing an mere $100.00.
Miss all this, and you wouldn't believe, the serious illness that, does, and will occur, with outgoing, continuing...'misdiagnosis', total debilitating various, alterate life threatening disease...do, definitely, 'will occur'.
I'd like to see, our 'best site' gardening expert's, get on the vanguard of watch of this selective 'bug problem', I for one...did neglect 'Don's' fairly recent reference....on various sundry garden, environmental 'bug's'...which was predicated for identification purposes...to my present regret.
I at least am safe, not bitten, but smitten. Have been looking for years for these thing's, never go into the 'bush', or nature...wearing simply short's, rather long pant's, and boot's, proper clothing, at any time. Thinking that was sufficient preventitive procedure, with an visual inspection. But, I'v not been really diligent, my spouse ignores the matter, children oblivious to et al.
So, we shall see, where this new avenue of information lead's us, I'll be visiting my very good general practioner, fairly soon...for shot's, of course...we should all be bringing this matter to their attention. An tactful, diplomatic 'answer', is not something 'I wish to Hear'. But, we shall see. Stay Healthy In The Garden. Get Smart. My Path's May Not Be Safe. But the Snow Is Coming Big Time.
