Making Daylily beds look fresh after the bloom.

After the flower stocks have dried out and can be pulled easily I will pull all the dead stocks, rake all the leaves flat into a pleasing pattern and trim the overhang on garden edges. Very shortly new fresh green growth will grow thru the old leaves and look like spring the rest of the summer. It is early July in mid-maryland and almost time. Just waiting on the flower stocks to brown all the way to the ground.
