July 23, 2007! I really like the picture and it does take patience to stand quietly to capture! It was wonderful to see! The family moved on as quickly as they came! Hope they come back again next spring!

We had a pair of tree swallows as well.They came back year after year to the house,but they came this year, gave the house a "once over" and left,not to return. This was the first year I had not cleaned the house thoroughly with a water hose before winter came.I'm wondering if not cleaning it was the reason for them leaving.Has anyone any other suggestions? Great picture,Pauline,and you are right.It does take patience!
