Native Plant Sales Program

by Doug

Here's a good deal you might consider this fall or next spring. A new plant program called "American Beauties" is being produced by one of the Northeast's largest wholesale nurseries (Pride's Corners) and will be seen more and more in local garden centers.

It is focussed on native plants for each region and different plants will be found in different regional garden centers. What you get in Chicago isn't what you'll see in Boston.

Not only that but a donation (depending on container size) of between 25-75 cents for each plant sold will be made to the National Wildlife Federation for every plant you buy.

This is a win-win situation folks and Pride's Corners and your local garden center are to be congratulated on taking this step.

Good for them.

Don't Know but Guessing
by: Doug

I don't know if the originating nursery is going to be selling those plants through the box stores like Lowes etc. I'd guess only through the independent garden centers if I was guessing.

donating without the pain!

This is a great idea to help the National Wildlife Federation. Will stores like Lowe's [big chain of hardware and plants] havethem?
