Doug's Lazy Square Foot Garden System

There's no doubt the square foot garden system is an innovative and systematic system of planting and maintaining a vegetable garden. What I want to do is bring this into the realm of simplicity for my readers. Let me make it clear that you can do this kind of thing relatively easily and it's a perfect example of frugal gardening at its best.

Step One Get yourself to a building supply store and buy the cheapest trellis you can find. In my case, there were a few left here when we bought the house. But they're cheap plastic and you may even be able to find them at a garage sale. I've seen them in some of the big box stores for a few bucks. You only need one.

Lay it on the garden soil.
